Dimmers are great except…
These are great and work exactly as advertised except for the scratch resistance. Maybe it is just with the dimmer model but where the arms contact the lens when they are closed it rubs the inside of the lens and scratches them (see photo). I keep these in the included soft case in my cargo pocket at work when not in use so that didn’t help with the issue but I didn’t think the plastic arm would scratch the lens since it’s smooth plastic. The company was fantastic and warrantied them for me. If I could make a suggestion about the product it would be to add a rubber tip to the arms to prevent the scratching and/or include a semi hard shell zipper case for people who keep these on themselves at work. I’m Air Force so I don’t work in a specific shop everyday so I can’t leave them anywhere. On the new pair I put heat shrink on the arms to hopefully prevent scratching (see photo) and plan on buying a case so I hopefully don’t have this issue again.
