Basic Woodworking Router Table Plan

This basic woodworking router table plan is the best way to get all of your routing needs organized in the shop. You will have all of your necessary parts for routing in one place. It includes tons of bit storage in convenient slide out cabinets, for both 1/2" and 1/4" collets. Deep drawer storage for large accessories, a shallow drawer for larger bits, templates, jigs, and other woodworking accessories.

The cabinet uses 3/4" plywood construction with basic pocket hole joinery. This basic woodworking router table cabinet also makes great practice for cabinetry skills in any basic furniture application. These are the skills that you will be able to use on all of your future cabinet projects! I have used these same techniques to build entire kitchens and majority of our shop furniture!

The plan also includes:

  • - 14 Page PDF with detailed drawings
  • - Parts & Cut List
  • - Detailed joinery diagrams & measurements
  • (Measurements are Imperial NOT Metric)

Decent Plan Set

Overall the plans are clear enough if you have some experience in woodworking or have watched the video of the build. For the price I feel like there should be some level of written instructions as to the suggested order of operations and pointing out things that you may miss if you aren't looking closely enough at the plans as is. There also seems to be an error in the material list where it calls for 1 sheet of 3/4 plywood but then has two cut diagrams and each tacks a majority of a sheet. This is a MAJOR oversight for when trying to price out materials and get everything needed for the build. I would expect that a materials list would be totally accurate for something like this.

Cut list was great but if I am paying for plans I thought there would have been more info about how to go about certain things. For example the plans do not mention that you need to add a rabbit for the drawer bottoms. I was able to understand what the plan was but I expected more step by step instructions to follow rather than just a cut list and a couple exploded views. Over all the piece came out great but I thought the instructions were lacking a bit
