I bought this shirt because nothing says “I know how to use a table saw without losing a finger” quite like a bold BUILD USA graphic. I figured if I wore this, my neighbors would finally stop asking if I actually know what I’m doing in the garage and just assume I’m a structural mastermind.
I’m a full-figured guy and I like to pretend my "dad-bod" is actually "builder-brawn." It hugs the shoulders just enough to make it look like I spent all morning hauling 4x8 sheets of plywood, even if I actually spent it looking for my tape measure (which was in my hand the whole time). It’s also loose enough if I need room for my lunch and a spare impact driver.
There is a strange phenomenon where wearing this shirt makes you 15% more likely to build something that is actually level. I can’t explain the science, but as soon as I pulled it over my head, I felt the sudden urge to measure twice, cut once, and salute a bald eagle.
Like everything else on Malecki’s site, buying this shirt threw a mountain of entries into his latest giveaway. At this point, I’m basically funding his children’s college education, but if it means I have a 0.0001% chance of winning a golf cart or pallet of tools, I will continue to dress exclusively in his merchandise. It’s not a shopping habit; it’s an investment strategy.
I’ve put this thing through the wash three times now after some heavy-duty sanding sessions. The print is still as bold as a Pittsburgh accent, and the fabric hasn't shrunk into a crop top yet. It’s tough enough for the shop but looks good enough to wear to a BBQ where you can brag about your "custom builds" (which are actually just IKEA hacks, but keep that between us).
Whether you're a pro or a "weekend warrior" who just likes the smell of cedar, this shirt is a win. It’s high-quality, looks great, and supports the maker community. Plus, you’re helping John buy more Milwaukee tools, and isn't that what we're all really here for?
My garage feels more American already.
Great fit quality shirt
Its one of the best fitting and best looking tahirts out there!

I use these every day in the operating room to keep my eyes safe. I have several pairs at home for DIY projects. And recently got some shades for outdoor work! Highly versatile
I love em they’re comfy and stylish. My boss wants a pair too now
Not gonna lie, I was hesitant to spend 50 bucks on a pair of safety glasses.
However, after retiring from the military I got a job in construction, and the company issued ones just weren’t doing it for me so I decided to treat myself.
What can I say, they are awesome. I’m flexing a level of Drip that makes Jeffrey Dahmer envious. Clearly, my coworkers are envious of me calling me names like “four eyes” and “unibomber”. Instead of me catcalling passing by ladies, they are catcalling me, saying things such as “stay away”, “dont think about it”, and “I’ve got pepper spray”
Ultimately, are these life changing? Of course they are.
Are they sexy? Also true.
Love the shop shades! They are comfortable and very fashionable!! (Hopefully they stop flying objects if the job arises). Unfortunately I also bought 4 T-shirts hoping they would be good for a big guy, as John is not a little guy. The T-shirts are thin and short. I bought 2XL at 6’ 2” 255lbs and they are too short and the sleeves are too small. I wear an XL in Carhartt. Really bummed about the T-shirts. Fantastic designs but terrible t-shirt base.
When the day tries to hit back, I just laugh, because neither today nor tomorrow can touch me since I'm now equipped with ShopShades. I've never touched epoxy, but I'm pretty sure if I did now it would mix itself. I can feel that tomorrow already wants to run, but it can't because I can see everything. Tell tomorrow to standby, and get you some proper eye-pro today.
Seriously, they're pretty freaking comfortable. Eventually I'll get me some of the transition shades, but for now these are great! Semper Fi! Peace!
If you want to protect your eye balls with extreme prejudice then the shop shades are it! These are the most badass pieces of eye wear for the job site or workshop hands down.
5 stars! Crystal clear and so comfortable I put them on when I walk into my shop and forget they are on. Well done! And they look freaking awesome on top of it all!
These are the most comfortable eye protection I've ever worn, and I've been wearing eye protection for nearly 50 years. Spent hours in the shop and forgot I was wearing them when I came into the house, they actually make things clearer for me. So glad I bought myself a pair of SHOP SHADES and gave my son a pair for his birthday.
While you may look like a serial killer, your eyes will be protected. ShopShades are super comfortable and the lenses are clear and tough. I’m a cheapskate and wouldn’t have bought these for myself but, my wife bought them for me because she knew I wanted them. I’m very thankful she did and I put them on as soon as I enter my shop. Great job John!
Not too shabby on the style either 😎
I use them for work and I forget they’re on my face.
I bought the Shop Shades to protect my eyes from metal chips as I work on the metal lathe and mill making custom 1911s. Very comfortable, and they also make me look much more intelligent than I am!
I received two pair for my birthday. I loved the specialized touches added. However, it would be great if a smaller size was offered for women woodworkers/makers. They swallow my face. Lol
Really great safety glasses. Fit well, good vision and seem really well made. About to order a backup pair.
Malecki and Co. absolutely knocked it out of the park…
I built a workshop on my property so after a hard day of working, it’s a 45 second walk to my door. I change my clothes and take an hour(ish) pre-dinner nap. I wake up and it’s time to shower and then eat. THESE GLASSES ARE SO F’ING COMFORTABLE I FALL ASLEEP WITH THEM ON!
Don’t think about it, don’t hem and haw, and don’t be stupid. You need these glasses in your life, you only have 2 eyes.
